SEO Tools Scout

Privacy policy

The plain-English version: we run anonymous analytics and ad measurement, we set nothing in the EEA/UK until you consent, and we never sell your data.

Effective date: June 11, 2026 · Applies to seotoolsscout.com

Who we are

SEO Tools Scout ("we") publishes independent software reviews at seotoolsscout.com. For anything privacy-related, contact hello@seotoolsscout.com.

What we collect

This site has no accounts, no sign-up forms, and collects nothing that identifies you by name. We use:

Cookies and consent

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies are off by default and only switch on if you accept the cookie notice (Google Consent Mode v2). Elsewhere, they're on by default — you can block them at any time in your browser settings, with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or via Google Ads Settings.

Affiliate links

Some buttons on this site are affiliate links. If you click one, the destination company or its affiliate network (for example Impact for Semrush, or SE Ranking's program) may set cookies on their own domains to attribute the referral, and we may earn a commission on your purchase at no extra cost to you. Those cookies are governed by their privacy policies, not ours.

Third-party services we use

What we don't do

Data retention

Analytics data is retained in Google Analytics for up to 14 months, then deleted automatically. We keep no separate copies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (GDPR in the EU/UK, CCPA/CPRA in California, PIPEDA in Canada, and similar laws), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because we hold essentially none, the practical step is usually clearing your cookies — but email hello@seotoolsscout.com with any request and we'll act on it within 30 days.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this site handles data — for example, adding an email newsletter — we'll update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
